Womens Retreat 09'

WOW. That's all I can say. I got so much out of this weekend. Not only did I meet some amazing women...including my idol..hehe :) but I also met with God and he poured so much into my heart. The speaker, Chrissie Dunham, was AWESOME!! She reminds me so much of Paula Dean! (Shanna pointed that out..great comparison!) She is very southern and sister, she will put a flame under you! I truly grasped the importance of deciding every single morning whether or not to Love God and Others or to Love myself. I mean I always new what to choose but I never verbally expressed my decision to the Lord in prayer. Because we all now we need His help to accomplish this! I had my quiet time with the Lord this morning, first time I have done it in the morning. I normally do it at night. But I decided to get my rear up and just do it! I was given this verse,
"Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content" Philippians 4:11 and then a passage on Contentment.
The Lord knows right where we are and I am so thankful for that. I have been so discontent!! Let me just say that I learned a lot this weekend and left there feeling awesome BUT I must be honest when I say that it is hard to be amongst a ton of AMAZING women and not feel a bit envious. I find myself wanting what I don't have whether it be something tangible or even wanting the peace and joy that I see others walking in. The Lord really spoke to me this morning and told me that I am right where I need to be and in the place I am in is where my Lord is. So I should be content with Him, right here :) Thank you Jesus for such a great weekend with such wonderful women! Blessings!!

Project 52 ~ Week 1

So I am starting my first week of Project 52!! I tried to do one with both but they were not havin it today! Ill try tomorrow and maybe I can add it :) Here are my two precious blessings..

Project 52 Challenge

Ok fellow blogger addicts, I just recently got in touch with a dear old friend. Isn't facebook just good like that! HA! Anyhow, she is also a fellow "way more seasoned" blogger, Shannon. I was reading hers yesterday and came across this challenge she just started. I LOVED the concept! So I am officially copying! She said we could :) So here it goes...

We all love posting pictures of our little kidos on our blog, correct? We blog about their achievements, their hard times, their set backs, how cute they are, how big of stinkers they are... and so on. But how many of you are good about taking pictures of you AND your little kidos??
NOT ME!! I honestly have very little photos of me with the two lil buggers. The rest are of just Cooper, just Gracie, the two together or with their daddy. So the challenge is to take a memorable photo of you and your kid/kiddos ONCE A WEEK, post it and blog about it. It doesn't matter what day of the week, just once a week. You will do this for a year...sounds like a long time but come on guys, we all know we can't break this blogging addiction in a year! :) We will call it, Project 52 Challenge, again stolen from Shannon!

Also, for those of you who don't have human kidos, but have fur babies...you are not exempt :)

Shannon put it so well, "I promise I wont be mad if you don't do it, and I wont leave you mean comments if you don't do it (well, I might)." HA!

So today I am gonna make it a point to take a picture with the kidos!!

Alright I'll tag ya just in case you don't think I'm talkin to ya!

4's

1. Choose the 4th folder in which you store pictures in your computer.

2. Choose the 4th picture.

3. Explain that picture.

4. Tag 4 people.

Ok so mine is not as cool..HA! This is a picture of one of Logan's cows. The fourth folder contains all the cattle photos that he uploads to this ranch management software. It is how he keeps up with all of them. So bloggers this here is #14 and Logan tells me she breeds a pretty good calf :)
And I am gonna go with Kelsie's idea and just say that whoever reads this is tagged :)

Easter 2009

Easter was a lot of fun! Logan, Cooper, and I all drove to Wichita Falls that morning and went to church with my family. It was really good to see everyone! We then ate at my parents house..brisket..yum!! Here is Coopman diggin into his Easter basket from Paps and Nonie.

He loved it!! We had to have a makeshift egg hunt...meaning it was inside..a lil different but it worked! He is Risen!!! Thank you Jesus for dying for me!
Oh and I also finally finished Coopman's birthday invites..I was so glad to get them in the mail and out of my sight!! They turned out pretty cute though..thank goodness!

Another update on Kyker... He is now stabilized!! He got to eat pizza the other day and loved it! He should have been moved to another floor yesterday but I have not heard so I won't say for sure. Thank you Jesus!!
Ohh and I can't forget..I have a new job!! I am now going to be watching sweet baby Eve, 4wks. at my home Mon-Fri. She is a sweet baby, very calm. Thank you Jesus ;) So far everything has been great. Coop has not shown much jealousy. Here is a picture..she is a doll!

Last but not least, I wanted to add some pics of our pokeno night with the girls. I had a lot of fun!!

Here is what I won, as you can see we are already using it!

Kyker, Krafting, & Kandie....

Here is an update on sweet lil Kyker. Logan and I went to visit them at Cooks Children's Hospital in FW and He seems to be stable. They successfully placed the pacemaker. He is completely dependent on it. There was talk about a transplant before but as long as the pacemaker does its job then there will be no need for one right now. Good thing! He is recognizing his parent's and grandma's voice, another good thing! Right now his left side is still not responding but that is not our main concern right now. As Candice and Paco put it, " As long as we still have our baby, we can deal with the rest later." They seem to both be holding it together very well. Although they have gone through a whole lot in the past week. Paco told us that "there is not a lower place to be then when you hear the Doctors sayin that your son is responding well to resuscitation" unless they aren't responding that is..Praise Jesus! Keep praying for this sweet lil boy and his family. He has a long road ahead of him but he is a fighter!
Yesterday Shanna and I did some crafting. We were supposed to go with Alberta to lunch but David was having some dizzy spells and needed to see a Dr. asap...Pray for them :) So Shanna and I decided to craft :) We started on Sarah's birthday shirt and it turned out super cute! Although the little curl was a pain in the rear!! Now i need to make one for Gracie expect I'm not looking forward to it..it has two curls! Here is the finished product...

Oh and Shanna and I went to Chilis as well to eat and she taught Coopman how to drink from a straw. It only took one try!! He is so smart!! :)

That afternoon we picked up Gracie and headed to the farm. She got to open her Easter stuff and she was soo excited!! Do you guys remember those capsules that when placed in water they would grow and make a sponge animal....well I had to get her some and she thought that was just the coolest thing!! Ha! Here is our sweet angel.....She is kinda a big deal if ya didn't already know that! HA! :)

And I have to post this picture...this is Coopman riding his little car thing...Actually, Logan puts him on and pushes him around the room...Cooper laughs soo hard!! It is the cutest thing ever! I swear that kid is fearless!! :)

Please pray for Kyker

Kyker is Logan's cousin's 4yr old son. He was born with a heart defect and was told would more than likely not make it to his first birthday. He has received several open heart surgeries and till recently has been doing exceptional. This Thanksgiving and Christmas he was running around playing with all the other kids. He is now in the hospital on life support. Yesterday he had a stroke and his left side is not responding. He had another open heart surgery which lasted 9 hrs and is still on life support. Please pray for him and his parents Paco and Candice, as well as their 3 other kidos. Logan and I are going to the hospital tomorrow morning and Ill update when we get more information. Lord be near.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you."
Isaiah 43:2

What a weekend!!

I am officially exhausted!! It was a wonderful, but busy weekend. Ill just kinda sum it all up...
Saturday, I went and picked up Gracie and took her dress shopping. She loves pink, so of course she would not even try it on unless it was pink! I loved it though... so we found her a beautiful pink dress with a white cardigan. She was not havin the cardigan though..she kept pointing at it sayin "I don't like it" HA! After shopping we headed to the farm to dye some Easter eggs with Nana. She was skeptical at first until she saw them come out of the dye. She screams "look look Liz, the egg is pretty now" once we got done we then had to "redye" them cause she was not wanting to stop :)
Sunday morning we dedicated Gracie and Cooper. It was wonderful! In fact, I teared up during the dedication. I just thought about how much of a blessing my two kidos are to me. God is soo good! After service, all my family and friends came over to have lunch. It was about 25 of us. We had barbecue, yummy! The girls (Gracie, Bella, and Sarah) had a blast hanging out. Then at 4, we headed back up to the church for an Easter egg hunt. It was kinda crazy...felt like I was at Six Flags for a while! Gracie did awesome at hunting, Coop..well, we were just trying to keep him warm :)

Not such a great picture but ill post a better one when I get it :)

All in all it was a very blessed weekend. Thanks to everyone for lovin on us and being so supportive with all the new changes in our lives. We love you all!!

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."
